ABOUT

I started this blog in order to examine the purported messages coming from an alleged seer, who calls herself Maria Divine Mercy. (MDM) Despite the denunciations by Bishops and an Archbishop the adherents of this so-called seer continue to follow these writings, even though they contain many doctrinal errors and contradictions.
We don’t know much about the seer, as she remains anonymous, but the messages, supposedly coming from the Holy Trinity and Mary, are spreading quite quickly via the internet into many countries. The worrying part is that the followers now look at the alleged messages as being above the word of Holy Scripture, the Church and the Pope. There is also cause for concern in that MDM says that H.H. Pope Benedict was the last Pope and the current Vicar of Christ, Pope Francis is a “false prophet”
“My beloved Pope Benedict XVI is the last true Pope on earth…. The next Pope may be elected by members within the Catholic Church, but he will be the False Prophet” (MDM April 12, 2012).
This erroneous message is extremely dangerous for any members of the Catholic Church, as it runs the risk of leading to schism or separation with the Catholic Church, which is the…. “refusal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him” CCL 751
A choice of schism for any Catholic tragically results in excommunication and the inability to receive the sacraments (see CIC 1364.1).  The only sacrament open to them will be Confession!
So we can see that to accept any alleged message immersed in theological error and Church disobedience is a grave and dangerous error

The doctrinal acrobatics and contradictions of MDM are Comedy Central material on their own. But because they actually bring Sunday Catholics unschooled in catechism to perdition, bringing these errors to their attention fulfills our Catholic obligation to fraternal correction. But these people do not listen. And as Christ said in Mathew 18:15-17 “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.”

There is only so much we can do towards fraternal correction. These people knowingly and willfully twist the faith to suit the messages of MDM. The really abhorrent thing is that they are hypocrites who insist on remaining in the Church like hemorrhoids infesting the mystical body of the Christ. They claim the Pope to be the false prophet thereby making Jesus Christ a liar when He said “the gates of hell will not prevail” on His Church. This claim also renders the Holy Spirit that guides the Church as being inutile for allowing the false prophet to be elected, assuming for the sake of argument that Pope Francis is, which he is not. The messages also claimed the “keys of Rome” have been taken back, making Christ an Indian-giver and rendering the Church useless in dispensing its salvifying grace.

Only the devil wants to render the Catholic Church and the death of Christ useless. This is plain to see in MDM’s drivel. And its minions are embracing the BS hook line and sinker. Christ on the cross said: “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” Unfortunately, for MDM and its minions, they know exactly what they do.

Thank you Alex….We pray that they will really take a good look at the writings and see the contradictions and errors that the real God would just not make.

    God Bless

  3. Dont you know, that demons are liars, Satan is their master, there is no truth in him more. The story Jorge and the dragon is an invention, but not JESUS. Wait for the event . . . . after the event you cant believe the same as before.

  4. Hi John..I know there are coming events because Scripture, the Church Fathers, and genuine seers have told us.

The book of truth has blatant errors so there is no way I would believe anything MDM writes. It has been proven anyway that she received her visions whilst she was with a medium, so that is a big red flag all by itself. And as you say Satan is a liar so why would I read anything he has to say. All his promises are empty.

    God Bless You

I put the blame squarely on the church organization for its dismal failure to educate its flock on Catechism, making them vulnerable to the wiles of the such frauds like MDM. While it is the duty of every Catholic to study his/her religion, it certainly does not help that Catholic education is run like a private business that is an expensive option for many. Only the rich can afford to send their kids to private Catholic Schools. But even in many of these private schools, Catholic education is wanting. I know of at least one person whose son ended up being an atheist because the Catholic School he attended could not answer his basic philsophical questions. And yet another whose kid joined the Iglesia ni Cristo cult because nobody in his family or his school satisfied his questions about why Catholics pray to saints or the Blessed Virgin when according to this fundamentalist cult, many Catholic practices are unbiblical and therefore cannot be the true religion.

  6. Hi Alex…I remember reading that St Pope John Paul II once answered this question by saying…every parent has a right and duty to pass the faith on to their children. Teach them at home! he said. if the schools are failing to pass on the faith intact.

Unfortunately, parents themselves are themselves mostly unschooled in catechism. The catholic church organization should learn from the Jews who put priority in educating its flock more than building a synagogue or evangelizing. So much so that even the poorest among them know the Torah. It is the main duty of the Rabbi to educate its flock. How can you evangelize other peoples when your own people can so easily be swayed by fraudsters and snatched out of the church from under the nose of a priest?

  8. Yes you are right Alex…. “parents themselves are themselves mostly unschooled in catechism. ” The only solution I can think of right now is lots of prayer.😦

      1. Hi Steve,

“It should be noted that the commission’s mandate did not include determining whether Mr. Johnston’s messages are divine in origin.” We are however advised to exercise prudence and caution in regard to any messages.

Yes this is how it should be. I have altered the posts accordingly.

        God Bless you.

  9. More information from Mystics of the Church

In October 2015, the Archbishop formed a panel of three diocesan priests–two theologians and a canonist- to investigate the prophetic mission and message of Mr. Charles (“Charlie”) Johnston. The team met with Charlie on a few occasions, during which they interviewed him on a variety of matters pertaining to the mission to which he believes God has called him to. For his part, Charlie Johnston actively participated in the inquiry in a spirit of openness and obedience to the Church.

A significant part of the investigation centered around the archives of Charlie’s writings, particularly those of his letters to his three priest spiritual directors for approximately the past 18 years, along with his current writings that are published on his blog, CharlieJohnston.org. Additionally, they studied a few of the videos of Charlie’s public conferences, which were given free of charge around the country last summer (2015).

To summarise the statement from the Archdiocese, Archbishop Aquila’s decision at this point is essentially a wait and see approach while “advising the faithful to exercise prudence and caution in regards to Mr. Charlie Johnston’s alleged divine visions and messages.”

Not an approved speaker for the Archdiocese of Denver
Additionally, the official statement declares that “Mr. Johnston will also not be approved as a speaker in the Archdiocese of Denver.”

One must recognize however that “Not an approved speaker for the Archdiocese” is not in any way a negative judgment. In the comments section of the article I wrote about Charlie Johnston awhile back there have been a couple of individuals referencing the “not approved as a speaker in the Archdiocese” statement in an attempt to show that Charlie Johnston has somehow received a negative judgment from the Archdiocese– This is NOT the case.

What the statement means is that Charlie has not sought, or received, official approval to speak within the Diocese. In most (if not all) Dioceses across the country, one must apply—and receive– official approval as a speaker before one is permitted to give speaking engagements or conferences within any of the Catholic churches in the Diocese. This prior approval measure is to protect the faithful from unqualified or disingenuous speakers. And so, Charlie is therefore not an approved speaker, no different than any other layperson in the Archdiocese. In other words, not an approved speaker does not mean unapproved—it simply means approval has not been sought or received.

It is important to note here also that Archbishop Aquila has not restricted Charlie in any way, most especially from speaking publicly about his purported private revelations and prophetic messages, either in conferences or on his blog. He therefore remains free to speak publicly in public venues on private property within the Archdiocese of Denver and abroad–just not in Catholic churches within the Archdiocese. For his part, out of respect for the Archbishop, Charlie has only conducted private meetings in the Denver area, and one would suspect he will likely continue to do so, as opposed to the public conferences he has given outside of the Archdiocese.

    1. Hi Deer,

You know I was thinking this myself. Charlie has been quiet about the goings on in the UK. I wanted to talk to him about it but thought I should just leave it and see if he says anything. Time will tell, Deer.

Thank you for your prayers. I’m praying for you too.🙂

  12. Archbishop Georg Gänswein, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI’s long-time personal secretary said “Considering the baselines of their theological convictions, there is definitely a continuity” between Benedict and Francis.

Oh Janet, what a brave person you are. I understand you were being a punching bag today because you made a stand for the Holy Father. I thank you for that. I, Queen of Deer, and Snowy, Princess of the Storm Owl hereby bestow upon you the title of Lady Sword of Words, Defender of the Faith, and bequeath upon you all the words in the Oxford dictionary (and some of the words that aren’t) this 19Th day of August, 2016.

Snowy and I were playing earlier today. Since we were being silly, I thought you may need a bit of silly. Thank you my Lady.

    1. Bless you Deer and Snowy…I had a little chuckle when I read your message. 🙂 Just what I needed today…thank you. I’m not really doing anything… just passing on correct information whenever I can.

      God Bless you. ❤🌹
